I was able to get this original copy of The Mothers album from my wife’s brother years ago and I was stoked to see that the record itself was still clean and near mint like the albums I bought and made it my job to keep them that way. If you have ever heard the music of Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention you also know how funny and witty some of his lyrics are, then combine that with the good and tight music he writes you get a very unique sound that is all his. Like the song that talks about “I’m moving to Montana soon, gonna be a dental floss tycoon” It is very clever and silly talking about planting and raising his crop of dental floss. I have liked the Mothers from the moment I heard their first double LP called Freak Out. I will be listing that under Rita’s Rare Finds soon if you are looking to add that to your collection of rare albums from the 60’s when all the psychedelic music was starting to come out. Every song on this album is good and you can’t always say that about some of the albums I own. So if you want to own the original first release instead of a reissued copy or a CD version of this awesome record this is your chance. I have discounted the final price due to some wear on the corners of the cover but there are no tears. I will post a photo, the bottom line is the record is like new still and you would be getting a piece of psychedelic rock history with the Mothers album
