Hello and Welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:
TITLE/ARTIST: "The Motown Story" by Various Artists on the Motown Records label (MS5-726) in vintage original sound, released in 1970.
CONDITION OF VINYL: Near Mint(Vinyl - all five LPs - are shining and bright, with only very light paper scuff marks if any - graded visually using special daylight balanced spotlight). CONDITION OF JACKET: VG+(Jacket/Box has corner wear and other light age wear, including a small crease top right - please see photos of actual album offered).
SPECIAL FEATURES: This set is, in my opinion, the finest vinyl ever pressed of Motown's legendary recordings. I bought this box new and it has been played one time for recording back in the '70s. The beautiful pressing work really does its job, making each tune vibrant and alive as never before (and never possible on CD). This is the second edition of the box set, and does not include a booklet of any kind, nor inner picture sleeves, nor textured graphics. These are the records, pure and simple. Don't let the slight wear to the box corners change your mind, and please don't miss this exquisite treasure at a true bargain price.

This is the second pressing box set which did not include the 24 page booklet, inner picture sleeves or textured graphics on the outer box.
SPECIAL NOTES: All of our albums are visually graded, but we will gladly play them to confirm condition. Please email us if you would like that service. RATING SYSTEM: New (sealed in original wrap); Near Mint (very light wear and uniform glossy vinyl appearance; one or two light rubs on jacket surface or corner); VG++ (light wear that is visible but not audible; light wear to jacket edges or corners); VG+ (many marks on record surface that are lightly audible during quiet passages; small splits, marks, or tears on jacket); VG (surface covered with light scuffs or marks that are audible during all but loudest passages; jacket extensively marked, split, or torn: note: we only sell this grade on very rare records).
