The Mystic Tide -- The Mystic Tide LP

Original 1991 US release on Distortions (B.C. PA) (catalog # DB-1006).

One of the greatest obscure garage-punk-psych bands ever, this record is the first LP release of all of The Mystic Tide's legendary singles from 1965-1967, ranging from raw garage-punk with distorted guitars to intense and eerie psychedelia.

Richie Unterberger writes extensively on The Mystic Tide and main guy Joe Docko in his great book Unknown Legends of Rock n' Roll - Psychedelic Unknowns, Mad Geniuses, Punk Pioneers, Lo-Fi Mavericks & More: "one of the greatest garage bands of the '60s... shimmering, echo-laden psychedelic guitar leads that sounded like a collision of the Ventures and the Yardbirds... explored dark and disturbing themes that distinguished them... from most of the thousands of garage bands throughout the US... "Frustration" is an all-time garage classic, with... grinding doomy chord progressions, and frenzied strangled leads from Docko that echo Lou Reed's similar "ostrich" guitar breaks with the early Velvet Underground..."

All records are packaged securely, protected by both stiff and cushion packaging, with vinyl (in original innersleeve) removed from cover and placed safely in poly sleeve to help prevent seam splitting during transit.
