Ultra rare 1970's 45 rpm recording by "THE NEW AMERICANS" a youth "garage" band with chorus, from Mt. Airy, North Carolina. Recorded by the obscure TRIAD RECORDS in Winston-Salem North Carolina. The A side features a choral rendition of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" with piano accompaniment. The B side surprised me. These kids rock out! It features a much heavier song "Brotherhood of Peace". Complete with drum breaks, and raw psychedelic organ and guitar solos, this scarce recording brings you right back to the 60's
VINYL: VG+ glossy vinyl, good clean labels. Most of the wax plays close to EX++, it just has one tiny scratch at the beginning of "Brotherhood" (heard in the recording) to knock it out of EX contention.
PICTURE SLEEVE: VG no seam splits or marks, just basic storage wear and light foxing.
Please note that my grading is VISUAL (not play graded). Some records may play better or worse than visual appearance...then again you know that; because you are a record collector too! Generally, my records will be better than described...but returns are always accepted!
Visual Grading Scale for Records:
Sealed: Jacket is sealed in the original shrink wrap.
NM : Near perfect, no visible signs of wear
EX : A few visual imperfections, very, very light marks (e.g. sleeve scuffs)
VG+ : May have light marks and at least one light scratch
VG : The record will display greater numbers of light marks and scratches
VG- : At least one mark of which can be felt with a fingernail
G : The record will have heavy wear: any amount of marks, both lighter and those which can be felt with a fingernail
Poor : Records with this grade should be considered unplayable
I HAVE BEEN COLLECTING RECORDS FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS. I HAVE DESCRIBED THIS ITEM AS BRIEF - BUT ACCURATELY, AS I CAN. I WILL NOT SELL RECORDS THAT I WOULDN'T LISTEN TO MYSELF, UNLESS NOTED IN THE DESCRIPTION.
