** This example is an excellent condition rare 1971 original UK pink label Charisma 1st pressing A-1U/B-1U, with Hipgnosis gatefold cover - "manufactured and distributed by B&C Records Ltd." **


An Excellent condition disc. A few hardly-visible hairline surface marks, from where the LP has been taken out of it's sleeve, which can only be seen in a very strong light, and which cause no audible issues whatsoever. A few minor spindle marks. No skips, jumps, sticking, warps, scratches, scuffs, or writing on labels. Very clean labels. Early 1st-Pressing labels with the text "Manufactured and distributed by B&C Records Ltd". Excellent sound quality throughout, with very little surface noise at all. Tested on a Thorens turntable.

Hipgnosis gatefold sleeve in Excellent condition. Very little wear. No major creasing. No writing anywhere. Spine in excellent condition. Early 1st-Pressing sleeve with the text "Manufactured and distributed by B&C Records Ltd". Sleeve "printed and made by the E.J. Day Group"

Supplied in white inner-sleeve, with polythene insert, which is in excellent condition with no creasing and no seam splits.


GRADING:

All records are graded using the 'Record Collector' format:

MINT (M): The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
