Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my pop and progressive records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, a very rare 1st U.K.MONO pressing of The Nice – The Thoughts of Emerlist Davjack on the PINK Immediate label with the “Sold in U.K.” statement, cat. no. IMLP 016.
The record is in EX minus condition, there are only a couple non-sounding hairlines and a few non-sounding lines here and there. The labels are in EX minus condition as well, there are a couple spindle marks only.
The cover is in VG(+) condition, there is some ring wear on both front and back, there are some creases and the spine is completely bald. Besides these imperfections, this cover looks still presentable to me; there is no large writing, no rips or tears or other damage.
This is a very rare 1st U.K. MONO pressing of The Nice’s debut album. All later pressings are in common stereo, have a lilac label and do NOT have the “Sold in U.K.” statement on the label. This first pressed copy does have the PINK Immediate labels with “Sold in U.K.” statement. Although the cover certainly have seen rough times, this one is extremely hard to locate. The Thoughts of Emerlist Davjack was entitled to be the first progressive record ever, and so, this record is a real must have for all fans of The Nice or fans of progressive music in general.

Within the European Union, the postage costs are £ 8.75, outside the E.U. £ 15.00 (sorry, but postage rates in the Netherlands are very high). Payment within 7 days after the auction has ended.
Please also note that the shipping costs are the same for 1 LP as for up to 5 LPs (the Dutch postal services charges the same amount up to 2KGs) So If you buy more, the shipping costs for your other LP’s are basically for free.
