THE OPEN MIND – The Open Mind. Acme 1038/451038, UK release. Includes a bonus 7” single (which is the second catalog number). NEW LP & 7". MEMBERS: Philip Fox, Timothy Du Feu, Terry Martin, and Mike Bran. Originally recorded and issued in 1969. TRACKS: Dear Louise, Try Another Day, I Feel The Same Way Too, My Mind Cries, Can’t You See, Thor The Thunder God, Magic Potion (previously unissued single mix), Horses And Chariots, Before My Time, Free As The Breeze, Girl I’, So Alone, Soul And My Will, Falling Again, and Girl I’m So Alone (Previously unissued demo version). 7” SINGLE: Magic Potion and Cast A Spell (both tracks were originally issued in 1969). DESCRIPTION: This band produced one of the finest UK psychedelic albums, which is excellent throughout and hardly contains a bad track. The music is characterised by some particularly strong psychedelic guitar work and good vocals. It's impossible really to pull-out particular tracks as highlights - they're almost all equally good. Includes their second rare 45 release, (the bonus 7”) which unlike their first single wasn't taken from the album and is superb. A blistering 45 with tasty psychedelic fuzz guitar work.
