1985/USA/7/2 Records HS-1….. here's a clean copy of this scarce and long out of print lp. The cover is in M- like new condition. The vinyl is in M- like new condition. "The Other Half" were formed at The Hill School, a prep school in Pottstown, PA, with members originating from all over the locale - Long Island, central Jersey, just outside Philly. Both "John Hawkins" (bass) and "Cranleigh Sammis" (drums) were previously in "The Half Tribe" (of Manasseh) whose equally rare private LP. Their album was made in the Spring of 1966, recorded on the top floor of the Oasis Hotel in Camden NJ (just across the river from Philadelphia) in a small for-hire recording studio. Their eponymous album ("The Other Half - The Other Half" 7/2 Records HS 1-2, 100 copies) included two cool originals and the rest are Rhythm'n'Blues and British Invasion covers (Them's Gloria, "Rolling Stones"' Satisfaction, "Time Is On My Side", "As Tears Go By", "The Outsiders"' "Time Won't Let Me", ecc.) "The Other Half" have a solid Northeastern sound and a little more Punk edge than their regional competition.

GRADING

MINT: I consider New Unplayed or Sealed items only.

M- or Mint Minus, very clean with clean visual appearance and sound, there may be a couple of light inaudible hairline scuffs or such and will be mentioned in the listing, a Mint- record looks and plays very clean. Same for the cover. Very clean with no delete or other issues.

EXCELLENT: still very collectable for most, visually and sonicly clean. A handful of light inaudible scuffs, or hairlines. Cover will be clean with little wear, or delete. No splits.

VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal wear, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much. Cover will have slight shelf wear, and or delete, minor split.

VG+ the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects.
