TITLE/ARTIST: This very rare LP by the '50's-'60's supergroup, The Platters, (their 3rd LP release) is on the original, black with silver print, Mercury Label from 1956. The LP features 12 hit songs by this early Mercury recording group, including "Only Because", and "Sweet Sixteen. The album is just one example of the many LPs I intend to list in the coming weeks and months ahead, all of which are from my personal collection and in very nice condition. In my opinion, the condition of both the jacket and the record are very nice and close to perfect, but please view the pics below, read about the LP's condition, and judge everything for yourself. LABEL INFO: As mentioned above it is on the original, black with silver print, Mercury Label, MG 20298, and is in beautiful condition!! VINYL INFO: The vinyl is also very shiny, clean, and nice----just about perfect with no serious flaws to mention at all--almost as good as the day it was first purchased. JACKET INFO: The jacket is likewise really nice and close to perfect, too---except for a few really light signs of early and normal "aging", but nothing too serious, believe me (see the pics below). INTERESTING FACTS: You really don't see these '50's-60's LPs out there so much anymore, and espiecally not in this kind of outstanding condition, so please have at them--as well as others I have posted this week -- or will be soon posting. I will continue to list many other LP's, EP's, and 45's by 1950-60's artists, even some rare C&W as I am slowly selling off my personal collection, and there are many more records of all varieties to get to yet. Many of these still to be listed records are quite rare and hard to find, and just about all of them are in near mint shape. So, please bookmark my site and check it out from time to time.
