Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my Rolling Stones, Beatles (and related) and 60’s beat records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, an extremely rare UK 2nd STEREO pressing of The Pretty Things – Emotions on the Fontana label, cat. no. SFL 13140, dating from 1972.
The record is in VG++ condition; there are some non-sounding hairlines and a couple non-sounding marks here and there. The labels are in EX minus condition; there are a couple spindle marks and some slight wear around the spindle hole on both sides.
The cover is in VG (+) condition; there is a coloured in sticker tear mark on the bottom of the front, two very tiny coloured in bald spots just next to the Fontana logo also on the front, the top seam and opening edge on the front have some light wear and on the back there are two tiny tears on the opening edge.
Although not in mint condition, this is an extremely rare UK second pressing of The Pretty Thing’s Emotions. This second pressing was made in even smaller amounts than the original first pressing back in 1967. Also, the record company altered the sleeve a bit (they printed the cover photo mirrored). Just how often does a copy like this one surfaces? This is a unique opportunity to complete your life-time Pretty Things record collection! Happy Bidding!
