THE PROCLAMATION OF THE PORTUGUESE REPUBLIC MEGA RARE 1911 ODEON 78 RPM RECORD
You are bidding on an exceedingly rare 10½”, 78 rpm Record issued in 1911 about the Implantation and Proclamation of the Portuguese Republic on October 5, 1910, putting an end of about nine Centuries of Monarchy in Portugal. This record is spoken in Portuguese and was released to celebrate and register these tumultuous historic events in the Portuguese political life. This record was printed in Brazil by Odeon Record, specially for Casa Edison in Rio de Janeiro. Its Matrix numbers are: 143024 Br. / 143026 – The labels are in VG+ condition with some light wear and with a shop sticker on one side and a tax stamp on the other side. The record is in VG to VG+ condition with some surface scratches and a couple of somewhat deeper ones and some graying. NO chips, NO crackings.
