Description
On offer is The PURPLE GANG 45rpm entitled GRANNY TAKES A TRIP c/w BOOT LEG WHISKY released in the UK by Transatlantic Records BIG T 101 in 1967.
This record, which was banned by the BBC, achieved cult status in the London hippy sub-culture where the iconic Granny Takes A Trip clothes boutique was situated in the King's Road. This 45 was produced by Joe Boyd, the same week in 1967 that he produced PINK FLOYD`s 'Arnold Layne'.
The record is in EX condition with nice clean vinyl and clear labels. There is one small mark on Side Two which does not affect play. It comes housed in a plain white sleeve. This 45 is scarce these days and is hard to find in this nice condition.
