Description

THE QUEERS - Rocket To Russia - LP
Selfless Records

I'm thinning out some of the duplicates from my vinyl collection...this one is a copy of The Queers' tribute to the classic Ramones album, Rocket To Russia.  This is an original pressing...a limited edition of 1,700 vinyl copies and out of print ever since!

Joe King and his gang tackle every single song from the Ramones' third album.  Produced by Ben Weasel, who also handles vocal duties on "Surfin' Bird."

In the '90s, indie label Selfless Records got some of the best Ramones-core pop punk bands to re-record entire Ramones albums.  Starting with Screeching Weasel covering the debut album, followed sequentially by The Vindictives and The Queers.  Eventually, almost the complete discography of the Ramones had received the redux treatment, by the likes of the Parasites, Boris The Sprinkler, Groovie Ghoulies, The Mr. T Experience, Beatnik Termites, Jon Cougar Concentration Camp, McRackins and The Kobanes.

CONDITION:  I play tested and recorded this vinyl before listing it for sale, so message me BEFORE the last auction day, if you want a link to listen to it before you bid.  Excellent (EX) vinyl with some very light marks that don't affect playback.  This record has some surface noise that is noticeable between songs, but this is a "hot press" (i.e. - LOUD!), so the music is not overpowered by the sound of crackling vinyl.  Jacket shows signs of age/wear, including a wrinkle on the top right corner of the front cover.  [SEE PICS]

GOLDMINE GRADING STANDARDS:

M (mint) Record is new, shiny, never played.

NM (near mint) Record is like new, probably played a few times, but it doesn't effect the quality of a sound.

EX (excellent) Record in great shape, may have light marks, played more than a few times but low in surface noise or no surface noise.

VG+ (very good plus) Record has been played more times, it has more marks and surface noise, it doesn't skip.

VG (very good) Record has been played many times, may be more surface noise, but it shouldn't skip while playing.

G (good) Record is in bad condition, this is worth only for archive items - just to have that until you find a better copy
