THE QUIK – Love Is A Beautiful Thing / Bert’s Apple Crumble

ORIG Deram 45 / DM 121 (UK, Mono, 1967)

Another classic Mod dancer from the 1960s here – the UK original of this evergreen floor filler!

Although it’s the B-side here that has attained legendary status, the A is also worthy of your attention – a fine cover of The Young Rascals’ tune.

The labels are fine bar a small patch of sticker residue on the B.  Not much in the way of spindle evidence on the B, moderate on the A.  NO writing, rips or tears.

The vinyl shows some marks but they are hard to track down in normal light.  Nothing major – a few small and soft surface scuffs and some (very) faint short hairlines (not easily discernible).  NO heavy, feelable or obtrusive marks.  NO groove wear.  NO dulling or greyness and no embedded dirt.  Visual grade of EX- (Near Excellent).  Certainly better than VG.


IT HAS BEEN CAREFULLY LISTENED TO and plays superbly with little if any deterioration from the day it was pressed.  So expect quiet run-ins, NO snap, crackle or pop, NO ticks or clicks and NO distortion or loss of clarity.  A fine EX (Excellent) listen!!

Iconic record.  Get your dancing shoes on!  No reserve.
