Description

TITLE/ARTIST: Hello and please continue to check out all current and future listings as everything from my personal collection will eventually come up for sale - records from the '50's, '60's, and much, much more - all "oldies" and all in great condition! Here is one of those early, rare and highly collectible LP`s by two of the very best song writers of that generation - Ellie Greenwich and Jeff Barry - although on this LP they called themselves, The Raindrops, and made it appear as if the group was a trio (although in reality, it was not). It is yet another album in outstanding condition - especially the vinyl, but the jacket is pretty nice, too. This LP - their 1st and only - is on the original Jubilee Label and is self-entitled "The Raindrops", and includes their hit singles, "What A Guy", "The Kind Of Guy You Can't Forget", and "Not Too Young To Get Married" as well as 9 others they co-wrote from back in 1963 - although usually for other artists - all in MONO and all in outstanding shape (see the pictures above for all of the song titles). LABEL INFO: This original, Jubilee Label (5023) is nearly perfect with no issues at all - I don't even see any spindle lines around the center circle, which indicates to me that it had very little play time - if any at all. VINYL INFO: Likewise, the vinyl is also super shiny, clean, and nice with again, nothing in need of a mention at all. In my opinion, the vinyl seriously looks almost as good as the day it was 1st purchased, and again, quite possibly has never been played. JACKET INFO: Finally, the jacket is also very good overall, but not quite perfect either. There are small scuff marks in the corner areas, but nothing all that serious, in my opinion anyway - especially given the age and value of this piece! INTERESTING FACTS: Yes, this hard to find, very collectible LP is in nice shape, so please have at it and continue to check this site for more great conditioned "oldies" from my personal collection. As I have already mentioned, over time I am selling off my entire collection, and there are 100's more to get to yet -- of all genre's, sizes, and varieties. Many of these still to be listed records are rare and hard to find, and most all of them are in near mint shape. So again, please bookmark my site and check it out from time to time. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!! If anyone ever needs more info than what is listed, please email me. I will respond! POSTAGE/HANDLING CHARGES: In the United States, the buyer agrees to pay $5.00 (Media Mail with Delivery Confirmation) for the first LP purchased, and then just $1.00 per LP after that-----so, buy in quantity and save. These are U.S. rates only, and all foreign winners will have to await an email me for their exact costs, although I will send a detailed invoice as soon as the auction is over---but, there too, it is cheaper to send multiple pieces. The charges for overseas are listed in the shipping category below--$23.00 for the 1st LP and then just $4.00 per LP after that. PLEASE NOTE: I take a great deal of pride in packaging all my mailings both safely and securely. However, I cannot be responsible for records that are lost or damaged by either US or overseas Postal Services. But, for additional fees, I will gladly ship the packages Priority Mail and/or add insurance! Please email me with either, or both, requests if this is of interest to you. Also, please continue to check out "rogersrecords" on ebay for future collectible records of all types. There are many more to come! browser does not support JavaScript.
