Description

Rhino Handmade Limited Edition 6 CD set No.0368/3000 issued in 2004 and now deleted. The set is now very difficult to obtain in good condition and this set could pass for new and it has hardly deen played. The set covers the group's complete Atlantic recordings from 1965-1971 and shows the startling transformation that they went through during that period. The six CDs document their complete studio output of eight albums over four and a half discs, and devote a disc and a half to singles, A- and B-sides, alternates, and different versions of hits. There is also a highly detailled and illustrated 100 page booklet in mint condition This is a long-overdue retrospective for a band which has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and whose perfect marriage of rock, soul, and R&B has influenced more acts than anybody would ever care to admit.
