**RARE**   12 inch 33 rpm LP record album "The United States Air Force presents The Remarkable SR-71..." Prepared by Directorate of Information, Headquarters, Strategic Air Command, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, 68113. 
Strategic Air Command presents the Remarkable SR-71 and the Sonic Boom.  Side 1 - The Sonic Boom and The SR-71, The Remarkable SR-71 and The Sonic Boom, (All Times - Voice Out).  Side 2 - 8 Spot Announcements, one minute each.  No date on it but I'm thinking it's from late 1960s, not too long after the SR-71 was delivered to SAC in 1966. 
"The SR-71, which flies at more than three times the speed of sound, operates at altitudes in excess of 80,000 feet - better than 15 miles up. "It is operated by SAC's 9th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing, located at Beale Air Force Base in California's Sacramento Valley near Marysville. " ... ..."Everything possible is being done to reduce the effects of sonic booms - but they do occur. Only military aircraft are presently capable of causing a sonic boom. But in the near future, civilian airliners flying faster than sound will join them. Everything possible is being done to reduce the effects of sonic booms, but without total success. For the foreseeable future, sonic booms will be an unavoidable part of the age of supersonic flight."
