THE ROLLING STONES - " THE ROLLING STONES " , The Decca Recording Company Ltd. (LK 4605) Mono, 1964.
Rare English Decca LP - obviously the boxed Decca logo on the labels signifies a second issue, but it's a nice clean copy that plays really well... and it's still a 60s pressing, which I'd take over later re-issues all day.
English issue and pressing.
Front laminated sleeve.
Matrix Numbers = XARL-6271-6A / XARL-6272-12A.
Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and then put in a fresh new poly-lined inner sleeve (the original inner sleeve has also been retained and included in the auction - see photo)
CONDITION:
VINYL = EXCELLENT (No deep scratches, no groove damage, no distortion, only light spindle trails, etc. In normal daylight the vinyl appears perfectly clean, under a bright grading lamp I can make out a couple of very light paper/surface scuffs - although these are purely visual and during playback, these very slight superficial flaws correspond directly to any audible defects.
On playback, there is some faint surface noise during the silent run-in (in the pressing) which disappears as soon as the music starts. It plays really well - strong, clean and without interuptions.
Not quite an untouched museum piece, but a good honest excellent copy for someone out there to play and enjoy as it was originally intended.
Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)
SLEEVE = V.G.+ (No big creases, rips, tears, defacing, etc. But had to be marked down due to wear and some light creasing, particularly afflicting the laminate along the spine. also, the rear sleeve isn't as white as it once was, but still not bad and definitely better than most copies of this LP left in existence - see photos for further clarification)

Unlike so many of the jokers now selling records on ebay, we know how to grade records.
