The Rolling Stones "Black and Blue" LP
(EMI Records CUN 59106) UK 1976
The Stone's first studio album released with Ronnie Wood as the replacement for Mick Taylor.
Stylistically, Black and Blue embraces Funk with "Hot Stuff"; Reggae with their cover of "Cherry Oh Baby"; and Jazz with "Melody", featuring the talents of Billy Preston - a heavy contributor to the album.
Black and Blue reached #2 in the UK and spent a four week spell at #1 in the US, going platinum there.

Record Grading:
Near Mint: This is the top grade and is in pristine condition with excellent gloss and no marks.
May look unplayed. A NM cover will show no signs of wear.
A NM- is slightly below the NM grade with only one imperfection but generally flawless.
VG++: Record may have sleeve marks from being pulled in and out of a cover. Typically these marks will only be viewable under a bright light bulb. Generally will play through like a NM- with little to no surface noise. Cover may have storage wear, tiny age spots, or creasing, nothing distracting or major.
VG+: Visible scuffing or surface wear may be present, but not deep enough to affect play. VG+ records may have slight surface noise, but only noticeable in quiet passages of music (or at beginning of record or between tracks.) This slight surface noise should not overwhelm the music experience otherwise. Covers in this grade may have ringwear, edgewear, creases, or general shelf wear. Splits or writing on cover or label will be noted.
VG: Vinyl will display many hairline scuffs or scratches, but will play with a tolerable amount of noise. A great play copy but clearly used. Cover may have splits and heavy wear, writting or stains, and possible tears or creases.
