The Rolling Stones : Emotional Rescue A4/B3 1st Press w/Poster

I purchased a collection recently among which were a stunning set of Stones' records.  I have listed a number of them already and have graded each track individually.  Such is their quality there is no real need to do this but rest assured I will still listen to every track in full so as to provide a 'correct' grading and will state any imperfections even if minor.

This first pressing is in fantastic condition and is basically 'as new'.  Another time-warp classic that belies its age!  It also comes complete with the very large poster which is also in pristine condition.

Play grading

S1 starts with 'Dance' and it plays with superb precision throughout.  As per the other Stones' albums I am selling it plays with a genuine depth and warmth that you only get with vinyls that have been infrequently played and very well preserved.  Each track plays with the same distinction and the clarity here is exceptional.  Every intro and fade out have no 'background' and the music in between is faultless also!  S1 can correctly be graded as Mint there are no negatives.  S2 is of the same 'high end' standard with no ticks, clicks, pops or crackle and no underlying static either, no 'background' at all.  The title track 'Emotional Rescue' has an 'as new' sonic quality but that applies to the entire side - audio does not get any better than this!  For a 40+ year old vinyl to play with such immaculate precision is a genuine rarity, a time-warp classic for sure.

Visual grading

Perhaps not surprisingly the vinyl is also in pristine condition.  It has an immaculate glossy 'look' with no marks, scratches or hairlines.  There is only very minimal spindle wear on the S1 label and nothing on S2.  Judging by this and the audio quality this record has only been played a handful of times at most.

The Cover, Poster & Inner

The cover is in lovely condition and has clearly hardly ever been handled.  In fact the only wear is one tiny crease in the top right corner but you would be happy if you had just walked out of the record shop with it over 40 years ago!  The huge poster that accompanies it is in fantastic condition, not sure it has ever been opened!  The die-cut EMI inner is perfect with no side splits or marking.

Play tested on my Pro-Ject Essential III Turntable / B&W 684 Speakers

This record has been cleaned on a Pro-Ject VC-S machine

I grade according to "Record Collector" guidelines.
