Description
The Rolling Stones
This is the most impressive early mono vinyl on the boxed red Decca label I have ever seen. The vinyl is truly immaculate and looks and plays 'as new'. The quality is exceptional.

Visual grading
This vinyl is quite simply in perfect condition. A later mono pressing on the red boxed Decca label it has hardly been played and there is only one tiny faint spindle line on S2. The vinyl has that stunning glossy look of one pressed only yesterday and has no hairlines, scratches or marks. The run out grooves and labels are also perfectly clean.
Play grading
There is barely any lead in static on S1 and 'Route 66' then has audio that can only be graded as Mint- the quality is stunning. Indeed there is no need to describe each track in detail as the audio throughout is immaculate. With complete silence in the dead wax between every track there is also no 'background' during the music or on any of the intros and fade outs. This is quite simply audio of the highest standard. I didn't even hear a single dust tick!
S2 plays in exactly the same way. There is no lead in static at all and then 'I'm A King Bee' plays as if pressed yesterday. This superb clarity is again evident on every track and the only Jagger/Richards composition 'Tell Me' plays with perfect precision which is impressive when you think how many quiet sections it has. The remaining tracks do not disappoint and again there is no interference of any kind. Pure stunning Mint quality audio!
In summary this may be one of the later mono pressings from but it is nonetheless in sublime condition and played only once perhaps twice in my opinion. It is a final upgrade archive copy and has been beautifully preserved. With no interference at all audio does not get better than this!
The Cover
The laminated cover is in lovely condition overall with no obvious signs of wear. The front cover is superb with no splitting or lifting of the laminate at all plus it is also super clean. The edges have no shelf wear and the thin pinched spine only has a couple of tiny marks and remains 100% legible. There are a small number of creases on the front cover next to the spine but really not that obvious. The opening edge has next to no handling wear. The back cover has a little fading around the edges and a couple of faint marks but is still very clean for its age. No writing anywhere.
Inner sleeve
The Decca poly-lined inner sleeve has no splits to the sides or any tearing. Just a little light creasing here and there.
The labels
The red Decca labels are in wonderful condition with no marking and as stated only one hardly noticeable faint spindle trace. wear. Stunning examples.
