MATRIX

XARL 6272-1A

Extremly early MONO copy of this album with, the all important 1A 1A matrix, with the 2.52 minute version of 'Tell Me', this version was later withdrawn and replaced with a longer version 3A matrix.

Record Grade

?Visually certainly not the greatest copy i have ever seen. There are surface marks noticed on both sides throughout, various areas of wear and marks, some much heavier looking, some lighter but consistent throguhout. There are numerous scuff, hairlines and surface scuffs throughout, some being feelable at points, some less so. Generally it has very little visual appeal. Floating around the FAIR visual grading mark.

Now for the better news, I have listened to this record thoughout and I was extremly suprised at how well it played through considering how it looks. There were no noticeable skips or jumps which was a suprise, with some pops and ticks noticed throughout intermitently, but nothing for any long length of time. There are some occasional series of ticks, but not sustained or overly distracting for long periods of time. Mainly noticed in run ins and outs between tracks etc, some occasional heavy crackle, surface noise, between tracks noticed on a few occasions. There is some other light surface noise,  background crackle throughout, mainly noticed during quiet passages, less busy areas of the tracks, run ins outs etc. The audio on the whole would be around the Very Good region on the whole which is quite suprising, but testament to the quality of this era of pressing. A professional clean would certainly help enhance the audio further and would cause no harm.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS REALLY A COLLECTION FILLER PERFECT FOR LISTENING TILL A BETTER ONE COMES ALONG. PLEASE DONT BID EXPECTING THIS RECORD TO BE ANY BETTER THAN WHAT I HAVE STATED.

Sleeve Grade
?An GOOD+ example of this sleeve, the front has been reasonably well preserved considering, some creasing and moderate marks in places, some light laminate wear and ring wear noticed, some edge wear and corner wear, a small repaired split lower opening edge, some minor spine wear but text perfectly legible and well preserved. The back cover showing some toning discolouration and wear. There is a name and initails written on the top edge, some ring wear some staining and general wear showing, with a small split opening edge, varions areas of handling creases. Quite good considering how bad this sleeve can often look.
