Description

This LP vinyl is from my private collection, which I am now selling off, all of which I bought new back in the 60's, and onwards, and have not been played for at least 30 years, until now.

I have graded this record using the Goldmine Standard grading system. Although it has been visually graded under LED lighting, I have also playgraded it. I consider that I have been very honest with my assessment, and have not over-graded it. Photos can never do justice to the condition of a record, so I've tried to describe the vinyl's condition as accurately and fairly as possible.

---------------------------------------

Please see the photos that highlight aspects, and form part of the following descriptions.

This is an original 1st pressing, released on the Decca label in September 1965, in mono. It has the maroon labels with silver text (the photos show lots of other detail). The sleeve has a Clarifoil laminated front cover, with an unlaminated back cover. The rear of this sleeve shows a printing error – ©965 instead of 1965.

The Vinyl

I am grading this as VG. It has some marks, light scuffing, and hairline scratches, when viewed under the LED light. For a 55 year old record, it's in pretty good shape, and it still has a good gloss to it. Both sides play very clearly, with just a small amount of background static/crackle, more noticeable between tracks, less on side 2. However, on side 2 there is a scratch between tracks 5 & 6 (see photo), which produces an audible click, but in my opinion, it's not loud enough to spoil the listening pleasure.

The overall sound of this LP is super clear for a record of this age. There are no skips, jumps or sticking.

Overall, this is a great sounding LP of one of the early Stones classic albums.

The labels are very clear except for some slight scuffing from the spindle, but no spindle hole wear. Unfortunately there is a name written on each label, but there are no stickers.

The Sleeve

I am grading this as VG. The laminate on the front is still holding a good gloss, but there are a few small creases, and laminate lift. There is a little matting off from the record ring. There are also a few small laminate creases around the edges. There is a little bruising to the open edges where the vinyl goes in and out. The corners have minimal wear.

The back cover is in good shape, just showing signs of ageing. There are no stickers, and no splits anywhere on the sleeve, but there is a small black felt pen panel near the top edge. The spine is very clean, with clear writing.

The original polylined inner sleeve has a few ripples/creasing, and the usual age related yellowing. There are no splits, writing or stickers.

---------------------------------------

The album will be sent out in a sturdy purpose made LP album packaging, with added card stiffeners, and marked 'FRAGILE' and 'DO NOT BEND'. The vinyl will be sent in a new inner polylined paper sleeve, but separate to the main outer sleeve, to avoid damage from movement in transit. The album's original inner sleeve will be included. The album will then be enclosed in a polythene album outer sleeve.

Due to the current health situation, if you are the winning bidder, and paid for the item, I can store the record safely for you until you are happy for me to send it to you. If you would like this option please let me know, otherwise I will send it as normal.

Please Note:- I use eBay's Global Shipping Program for posting outside the UK.

Thanks for looking, and good luck.
