THE ROLLING STONES 'STICKY FINGERS' 1971 STEREO LP.
LP pressed in England and released on Rolling Stones Records COC 59100.
Matrix codes etc:
Side 1: COC 59100 A3 [stamped] T.M.L. ROLLING STONES RECORDS [hand etched].
Side 2: COC 59100 B3 [stamped] T.M.L. ROLLING STONES RECORDS [hand etched].
Overall play grades as VG+.
Mostly plays very well and there are no sticks, jumps or any evidence of groovewear. There is some short lived, quiet crackle in the run in/out areas and between tracks.
Side 1 would play grade as EX but there is some light background crackle in the first half of 'Wild Horses'.
Side 2 would also play grade as EX but there is some light background crackle in the first half of 'I Got The Blues', in places during 'Sister Morphine' and there are a few 'tics' in the first 30 seconds of 'Moonlight Mile'.
When tilted under normal lighting both sides have a few faint needle lines. The labels do have a few spider lines around the spindle holes so has ahd a few plays.
When tilted under halogen lights there are quite a few more light marks visible on both sides.
"Zipper" sleeve grades as VG+.
Only minor edge wear and the titles on the left edge are perfectly readable. The zipper is stuck in the closed position [it may be possible to make it work again] and has a slight green colour too it. The Andy Warhol designed underpants section appears to be ok with just the zipper impression mark common in almost all of these.
Inner sleeve grades as VG.
Picture insert grades as EX.
I dispatch records in brand new, bought in mailers designed for the process. Before placing in the mailer I take LPs out of the sleeve place both in a polysleeve and between two card stiffeners and if there is a picture sleeve I place the LP in a plain sleeve to prevent knifing of the picture sleeve. [all this costs £0.80/single LP].
I USE RECORD COLLECTOR GRADINGS AND USE A +/- WHERE I FEEL THAT IT'S APPROPRIATE.
(M) MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be mint.
(EX) EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of being played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging may have slight wear and/or creasing.
(VG) VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
(G) GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
(F) FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
(P) POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
(B) BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
I normally ship within 1/2 working days of receipt of payment.
