Description

Records are visually graded, but I do listen to intros for crackle and clarity, and play through any marks. Please read the entire listing to avoid any misunderstanding.

THE ROLLING STONES – STICKY FINGERS – 1st PRESSING – INSERT – WORKING ZIP – EX-

This is a good playable copy of the first pressing with a working zip and a nice early zipper. It’s still nice and glossy, although there are some surface marks on both sides in a bright light and it does crackle in quieter moments, but I’ve played the whole thing and there are no sticks or jumps and the background doesn’t overpower the music. I wavered between an EX or VG grading, but I can’t feel any of the marks and nothing is torn although there is some “hidden” writing on the cover, so I’ve finally decided on EX minus and a “warts and all” description.

A3/B3 matrices, with T M L Rolling Stones Records etched on both run-outs. There is no “A Promotone N.V. RECORD” credit on the labels.

It still has the insert, which is in good clean condition, with a Richard Davis printing credit.

The cover is in great condition. No splits or tears, even the annoying little tab above the belt (that is usually torn off) is still there. It opens top and bottom with a back pouch (in the pants!) for the record. There is a birthday dedication written inside (see photo) next to the facsimile Warhol signature..
Working zip. The zipper is blank with 2 indented lines.
Apparently, this kind of zip is better quality than the usual ones, and is a very early made one.
