Description
The Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers 1971 A3 B3 UK pressing in excellent to near mint condition. Kept in a sturdy clear plastic outer folder.
Record is from my own collection, I no longer play vinyl so want it to go to a good home where someone will take care of it but also listen as it is a great album.
This is a rare 1st edition vinyl album.
This is the very first UK edition as it has NOT GOT the inscription "A Promotone N.V. RECORD" on the label, the Promotone company was founded a few months later (in September 1971 in Amsterdam, Netherlands) the album "Sticky Fingers" was released (April 1971).
The Matrix would suggest that this album should have the word "CLIX" on the zipper however as per the photo this is not the case, I have checked on Discogs where there are lots of photos of the zipper and have not found a match.
This album is in excellent condition some may consider it near mint. The zip on the outer cover still works and it has been kept in a clear plastic cover since purchased. Still has original poster (big red lips and tongue) and is in original inner cover which is also in excellent condition, no splits or tears. The Vinyl is shiny with no visible marks on side 2 and a small cluster of surface marks on side 1 track 4 (5 marks in total covering an area of less than 1 square cm).
The metal zipper on front unzips to reveal cotton briefs and Andy Warhol logo, the picture of this that is included is from discogs as it is not possible to photograph the actual image without risking damage to the outer cover).

I have not played this album for over 30 years but there were no major crackles or scratches when I did play it, since then it has been carefully stored. The Vinyl and inner and outer covers are all in excellent condition.
