The Rolling Stones were accused of 'copying The Beatles' with this album despite it bearing no resemblance. The only thing that could be related is that it's the most adventurous forward step into psychedelia and new sound effects. This was 1967, what was happening in that period - if not something adventurous then a band was redundant and boring.
The Zombies, Hollies, Bee Gees, Procol Harum, Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, The Move .... everyone was breaking new ground!
This album is a great example of that, and is now sought after in this UK issue original pressing.
This copy is in TOP shape, superb investment quality.
Wonderful to listen to the dimensional sounds on vinyl, through headphones or sitting between speakers. Wow, this is exactly why vinyl is best, hands down.
CONDITION;
The VINYL has terrific shine and the music plays and sounds FANTASTIC, loud & clear! Acoustic tones are superb, the stereo mix is sublime. It's like this across the whole album, and for most of us it's clearly a classic.
Green & Silver DECCA 'FFSS' Labels are NEAR MINT with no stickers or writing (the pic taken in daylight is not so easy to read so you can see I took alternative photos)
The LAMINATED GATEFOLD COVER is lovely. Again Nearly MINT. There are NO handling creases to the laminate, negligible wear evident. The rear is really clean, inner gatefold colourful and clean. The 3-D Rolling Stones photo is solid and remains attached as 50+ years since it was made!
Original Red and white inner sleeve included.
