AUDIO QUALITY - VERY GOOD PLUS to EXCELLENT

This great record plays up to the high visual grading and beyond . Strong, undistorted sound free of loud pops or clicks. channels are largely clean and unstressed and there is little evidence of any groove-wear. Powerful, rich and detailed mono sound with massive dynamics and unique mix and production - it outclasses the stereo version and has a unique atmosphere. A fine copy, with some background hiss between tracks and in quiet areas. any sound blemishes are mainly mild

LABELS – EXCELLENT

Splendid deeply coloured attractive examples. Light spindle traces only, with no wear around the hole areas, with all ink uneroded and fully intact, this fits very tightly around the record spindle.

SLEEVE - EXCELLENT PLUS

A great example of this rare sleeve, the front and back have a great glossy sheen, bright in colour with intact laminate. Virtually no laminate creasing on the spine, the spine text is totally intact. Apart from some very light corner wear the spine is near perfect, having a great shape.

The Inner gatefold is also in brilliant condition, unmarked with really bright stunning colouring

Rarity: An early mono copy with 3D cover is a fairly rare item now. Most copies available are poor quality with heavily played, worn out vinyl. The strange mix of music on Satanic Majesty is very unforgiving with a complex array of sounds. Not many survive that are distortion-free, or have unmarked covers, but this copy comes very close.

MY RECORD GRADING SYSTEM IS AS FOLLOWS - (BASED ON RECORD COLLECTOR MAGAZINE U.K. )

MINT: Virtually unplayed. The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover is pristine.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

V.G PLUS: The record will still be nice and shiny, but may have a few light marks, and will play well. Slight wear and tear on the cover.

V.G: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, etc.

FAIR: Fair. It is noticeable that the record has been played so much that the sound quality has deteriorated very noticeably. The cover and contents are showing signs of folding, scuffing of edges etc.
