12” LP, DECCA LK 4605 MONO, 1964.

- Matrices XARL 6271-2A and XARL 6272-5A

Prior to listing the record was cleaned, inspected visually and played to check sound quality using a Technics SL-1210MK2 turntable, a Shure M44-7 cartridge and a TEAC 300 reference system.

The vinyl is in excellent condition. Visually there are no scratch marks on either side. The whole disk plays well and I cannot hear any surface noise or crackles on any of the tracks.

The record has the grooved red label. Both labels are in excellent condition, there are spindle marks visible round the centre hole on side 1, but none on side 2.

The flip back cover is generally in very good condition. The front cover has an impression of the disk and a couple of small creases in the laminated covering, and the unlaminated area of the back cover shows some discolouration, also in the bottom right of the back cover about 5 cms of the flip back is unfolding and there are signs of old sellotape having been used to repair this, the tape has fallen off with old age. See picture. The polythene lined paper inner cover is in very good condition, although somewhat discoloured with age.

On the back cover in the description of the tracks on the record, side 1 track 4 is listed as “Mona”. For side 2 track 4 the credits are “E. & B. Holland, Bozier”, and track 5 is listed as “You Can Make It You Try “.
