Description

A great opportunity to buy an ORIGINAL copy of a VINYL LP from the 1960’s by The Rolling Stones called "Their Satanic Majesties Request".

Made in England and released in 1967 on the Decca label (TXL 103) (mono), it has a total of 10 tracks:-

Side One: - Sing This All Together; Citadel; In Another Land; 2000 Man; Sing This All Together (See What Happens).

Side Two: - She’s A Rainbow; The Lantern; Gomper; 2000 Light Years From Home; On With The Show.

John Lennon and Paul McCartney are uncredited, but feature as backing singers on Sing This All Together.

The vinyl is in a lovely clean and shiny EXCELLENT condition. I always examine and grade records under a bright table lamp and there are a few light surface marks evident, some of which may well have been transit scuffs caused by the inner sleeve. These light surface marks are not serious and have no effect whatsoever on the terrific sound quality. It plays superbly.

There are just a few spindle marks noticeable on both labels when tilted towards the light and on side one, there is a very small black spot on the track titles (see photo), otherwise the labels are free from any writing or major defects.

The record is perfectly flat and has no warps of any description.

The matrix numbers are: -  ARL - 8126 - 1P (side one) and  ARL - 8127 - P1 (side two), which indicates this is a FIRST PRESSING copy.

The record is housed in its original red and white inner sleeve in a VERY GOOD condition with just some creasing at the corners (see photos).

The laminated gatefold 3-D picture cover is in an EXCELLENT condition and has the 3-D image stuck on the front and not printed on like later re-issues. The top edge of the rear portion of the cover has a 2cm worn area (see photo), otherwise the edges and spine are very strong and the text on the spine is clearly readable (see photos).  The top and bottom of the spine has very minor shelf wear. Inside the gatefold is clean, but there is a small mark on the maze (see photo). There is just a small crease in the bottom right hand corner (see photo), but this is only noticeable when viewed from an angle. The back cover is laminated as well and is all fine.

Overall a great example of this highly collectable 45 year old record and cover.
