Description
The rare 1st pressing of The Rolling Stones 'Their Satanic Majesties Request' Decca mono lp, catalogue number TXL 103, with the soon to be replaced matrix numbers ending 1P / P1 and the 3D lenticular panel cover.
I would comfortably grade the item as at least a strong very good grade under the Record Collector grading system. The record has a particularly nice shine, has been very well looked after and plays with clear sound quality. There's not really anything to detract from it with visually just a slight scuff on side 1 on the last track.
The record comes in it's original inner sleeve which has just worn through at the bottom with a split, approximately 2" long and it has a similar length split at the top on one side.
The laminated gatefold sleeve is strong and sturdy with a clear, legible spine and is a strong very good grade. Mick Jagger has his hat pointing slightly to his left on this original cover, rather than to his right as on later sleeves.
It's a very nice item for such a collectible item of this age.
