The Rolling Stones - UK 1964 Debut EP

 

 

Rare UK sample/test/development copy of their first EP.

I have included a stock copy of the EP as comparison, there is no vinyl, just the sleeve.

I found about 6 copies in a local charity shop close to where the 'West Brothers Printers' was based, check popsike for previous sales history. 

This sleeve is the earliest version of the sleeve before moving to 'MacNeil Press'

Clearly someone who was working either at the printers or the Decca pressing plant, which was also local, took some development copies of the sleeve home. Maybe they were helping design the cover or they just needed some sleeves and there were surplus copies in the printers room.

This is the last copy I have, as you can see there is some damage to the top right corner.
