German hard rock and heavy metal legends The Scorpions released their sixth studio album in 1979, and titled it 'Lovedrive'. The original cover art was designed by Storm Thorgerson and the Hipgnosis company, (which also designed several Pink Floyd album covers, as well as covers for other artists). It was one of many controversial Scorpions album covers that got banned and then changed!
That same year, the French company Pathe Marconi released a special, limited edition picture disc LP of The Scorpion's hard rock masterpiece. It was released with a die-cut sleeve, and in today's rocking good deal, you'll get the original picture disc AND the original die-cut sleeve! The vinyl looks fantastic, and has only a couple of very light surface marks on it. No scratches, gouges, or heavy scuffs. The sleeve is still holding up well, with a few minor imperfections. Nothing too bad, and the sleeve is still looking pretty good!
