Description
The Shade - Merry Me Version b/w Dave & Ansel Collins - Single Barrel. Serpent, 1975. Original Pressing. Vinyl looks VG+ with light marks, but plays very strong VG++. Soundman stamp on Shades side only. See pic. Produced by Winston Riley. Here's the deal with this...The original and rare Shades - She's Gonna Marry Me vocal was originally issued with another vocal on the flip. The dub was issued here, as the b-side to the Dave and Ansel Collins tune for some reason. And this dub is KILLER. Sounds like King Tubby, with lots of movement on the mixing board. Amazing stuff. Don't sleep. Grab this up, as it is often off the radar, unlike the vocal. Side note - the vocal was later revamped on the Mummy label with a different version on the flip. This rootsy original is way better though. Shipping in the U.S. is $4. International rates vary. Thanks.
