I WILL GIVE YOU AS MUCH DETAIL IN THE FORM OF PHOTOGRAPHS AND TEXT AS I THINK YOU NEED TO JUDGE ON CONDITION.

The SHADOWS and a very RARE item being a first press SOUTH AFRICAN copy FULLY SIGNED by the FOUR MEMBERS of the BAND.

Both record and sleeve are in EXCELLENT CONDITION.

The record whilst having been played has been looked after and has very few surface marks.

The cover is also in EXCELLENT CONDITION. Most of the markings are shown as short spine creases to the front laminated side of the sleeve and the beginnings of the bottom seems split.

The rear of the sleeve being made of matt card with flipback seams has some light tanning / staining and light wear to the flip back seams

And the signatures are all as shown.

I can clearly read Hank Marvin, Bruce Welch and Brian Bennett. The fourth signature is is unclear in terms of a name but it does not appear to be Jet Harris? But as it would appear to be signed very early on in their career and autographs can become embellished or changed through the years it may be that it is Jet?

I was wondering whether at the time of touring in South Africa weather Jet was replaced by another musician?

A Shad aficionado may know the answer to this or could possibly confirm the writer of this signature?

On 23nd February a very helpful ebayer confirmed the signatures to be..... "Hank Marvin,Bruce Welch,Brian Bennett and Brian"Licorice" Locking.

Jet Harris had recorded some but all the tracks on this album.Locking replaced him mid way through the recording and appears on the remainder.Locking only remained with The Shads for a very short period between 62,63 and was then replaced by John Rostill"... .

I have no idea what this lp might be worth hence a low start price for all fans of the shads.

If I have missed any details then please ask and I will provide further information.

The RECORD will be sent wrapped in plastic and will be sent in a stiff lp card mailer.

**The most recent mailers that I use are extremely strong however they are very difficult to get the 12 singles or LPs out so I now slit one side of the envelope and tape it to enable you to get access to the record more easily and to avoid damaging it in the process!!
