A UK album in original condition, featuring:

1. 'The Shangri Las', 1964 debut and only UK album /LP,

2. one of only two UK LPs to be released on the, 'Red Bird' record label,

3. original first UK issue 1964 mono, 'Red Bird' record labels featuring the text, 'Recording first Published 1964',

4. comes with its original period PYE related, 'blue circle', ‘The best entertainment on record’, text advertising inner sleeve’.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The spine is in very good condition and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve features the original UK tri ‘flip back’ design, ie 'fold over' edges. There are NO tears, splits, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is a name on the rear, top written in black pen.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition and is the original UK period PYE, 'blue circle', ‘The best entertainment on record’ text advertising inner sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve. There is a split to the two side edges and a split to the bottom edge.

THE RECORD: each side of the record is in very good+ condition. The record is made from the period 1960s, 'thick, heavy vinyl'. Each of the playing surfaces have remained dark and glossy.

The records matrix are: RB20 - 101 A1 H and RB 20 - 101 B1 H, also the letters 'A I' are 'hand etched' onto the 'run off' groove on each side of the record. Also the letters 'KT' are 'hand etched' onto the 'run off' groove on each side of the record.

THE AUDIO: each side of the record plays excellent. The record lays flat on the turntable and plays with a full, loud period mono sound.

THE RECORD LABELS: each of the record labels are in excellent condition. Each of the record labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE ‘RECORD COLLECTOR’ MAGAZINE.

BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVE, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
