Description
This is THE SHOCKING BLUE (self titled)LP on Colossus Record Corporation CS 1000. First US pressing from 1970 stereo with yellow labels. Their first album. Not 100% sure what pressing this is. The side 1 run out is T 1 CS1000A-1B Bell Sound The T indicates pressed in Terra Haute at Columbia. Side 2 is the same except CS1001B-1B. I could not find a Discogs release with the CS1001. The label on side 2 also says CS-1001-B in parentheses.
The COVER VG+ Some wear on the jacket where not covered by the shrink. A little corner bump with some wear on the tip. The same corner on the back has the slick folded back for a quarter of an inch. The shrink is torn for 1 3/4" at the bottom seam at the opening. Nothing missing. Shrink has 2 other small tears. Both about 1/4" x 1/2". One top center(intact), the other lower left corner(missing cellophane). No other defects in shrink wrap. Has the Venus hype sticker on the front and original price sticker on the rear of 3.97. No splits, bends, creases or cut out drill holes. No tape.
The VINYL VG + Visual grade. Nice shine. Under a bright light each side has a couple of faint wispy marks that I hesitate to call scratches. There are some faint sleeve scuffs. Some high dollar sellers that I have bought from would grade this record NM., which would be arguable. It is not Mint and has been played. Better than VG+.
The LABELS NM Clean, no spindle hole wear or trails. No writing,or stickers. The SLEEVE VG Original white generic. Each side has a 2 1/2" split and the bottom. Shipped in a poly lined sleeve. All records will be mailed in sturdy, recycled record specific mailer boxes with extra padding. Discs will be removed from jackets to eliminate splitting caused by shifting in transit. I use USPS Media mail. Lower 48 US states sales only, no international,sorry.
