THE SKUNKS Gimme Some+5 '79 w/Poster Austin TX NM RARE

Skunks Records catalog numbers SR-2 and SR-3, a double seven-inch totaling six tracks, the second release from the legendary Austin, TX band The Skunks. This set was recorded with the band's second guitarist Jon Dee Graham--the first guitarist, Eddie Munoz, checked out to join The Plimsouls. John Dee later left this group to join The True Believers and continues playing as a solo artist today. SR-2 contains the tracks "Gimme Some," "Promises," "Hello Heartbreaker" and "Top Ten;" it spins at 33 and has the small hole. SR-3 is a 45, big hole, tracks are "Cheap Girl" and "Something About You Scares Me." Have seen pics of this set in a different package, a single sleeve that held both records but this copy has the records with a 14" x 14" poster with song titles and a pic of the group. It also has a lyric sheet. Runoff grooves of the records have "Rainbow Dallas"  and "L Nix" stamped all four sides. Would love to know if this is a second pressing--Austin historians please let me know if you know. In any case this is a rare set from the band that changed pretty much everything in Austin for years after they made the scene. This copy is absolutely, positively NM--the singles, lyric sheet and poster had to be bagged to keep everything together and this one has been so more than 30 years. Poster has a couple of tiny stains, lyric sheet has one little spot of dirt; discs are unmarked and until I dropped the needle to check them out were unplayed. Everything looks and sounds fantastic. Bid with confidence. Thanks, have fun and good luck.
