Title: BIRTHDAY b/w FEEL A WHOLE LOT BETTER
Label / Cat#: CHIVALRY / 1800 (ORIGINAL PRESSING)(SIGNED?)
VINYL: VG+ Music plays through strong & loud with just a few mainly light pop & crackle, a very enjoyable & strong playing record. The vinyl still looks shiny & quite nice overall with a handful of visible marks/scuffs/scratches, but nothing that distracts from the overall strength & enjoyment of play. The labels look great on both sides with just a small amount of shelf wear & possibly signed and/or a bit of barely visible ballpoint pen writing; read further into description for the details. Really nice!
This auction is for the incredibly rare "BIRTHDAY" b/w "FEEL A WHOLE LOT BETTER" by THE SLUSH, a group known to most as the CHERRY SLUSH, a real killer Michigan Garage MEGA RARITY! This 45 was released under the name THE SLUSH on the very small CHIVALRY label; something that still remains a mystery to this day since they had already made quite a name for themselves, Dick Wagner & crew, as THE CHERRY SLUSH in the Detroit/MI Garage scene with their now infamous and highly sought after "I Cannot Stop You" 45 on USA Records. Regardless of whatever the reason this amazingly RARE rockin' garage nugget is quite an incredible find. This one is for the deepest of diggers and collectors of truly RARE Michigan/Detroit Garage floor movers! I have only seen another one other copy of this 45 & that was back in 2008, it's a really hard one to find by anyone's standards. I no longer have that other copy, this is my only one...that last copy sold for over 150 dollars in notably rougher condition. Also this one appears to be signed in barely visible ballpoint ink, although the only legible name appears to be the producer JS Leach written on both sides; the other names, written only on A-side, look like Tom/Tim, Bill/Bil & D something?
