Why should you buy records from me?

·         I sell well cared for records.  I am an avid vinyl record collector with over 1,300 albums.  The records I sell are from my personal collection.  I have a nice quality turntable, and I take good care of my vinyl.

·         I accurately describe what I sell.  Plus I rate the quality of what I sell conservatively.  Based on my experience, most record sellers on eBay don’t even own a record player.  Thus they rate the records they are selling by sight only.  On top of that they tend to over rate the condition of both the vinyl and the album covers.  I play each and every LP and rate them by both sight and sound.  I accurately describe any flaws that I see or hear.  See my rating scale below.

·         I price my records to sell.  I either do a fair “Buy It Now” price or start with a reasonable minimum bid.

·         I charge a very modest fee for shipping.  I ship via US Media Mail with delivery confirmation.  If you will be purchasing records from more than one of my auctions, I will combine shipping at no additional cost to you.

·         I ship fast.  I usually ship within a day or two of receiving payment using delivery confirmation so we can track the shipment.  Free shipping applies to U.S. only.

·         I leave you positive feedback as soon as I receive your payment.  As a buyer your only obligation is to pay for the item you won on eBay.  Thus, when I receive your payment I immediately give you positive feedback because you have met your obligation.

·         I stand behind what I sell.  If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact me.  We can arrange a return and refund if necessary.

Near Mint (NM or M-)

Vinyl shows no obvious signs of wear.  At most it shows signs of having been cleaned.

Cover has no creases, folds, seam splits, any other noticeable defect.

Very Good Plus (VG+)

Vinyl shows some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it.  Vinyl surface may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very lights scratches that don’t affect one’s listening experience.

Cover may have slight signs of wear which are described in my narrative.

Very Good (VG)

Surface noise will be evident on playing, especially in soft passages and during a song’s intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise.  Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.

Cover may be marred by writing, tape, stickers, tape or sticker residue, or may have a cut out notch.  Any such imperfections will be described.
