Limited Edition No 0530 3 x LP (Europe)
This classic first pressing plays to an incredible standard with very little intrusion. The title track on S1 has a little static and crackle, which I believe is very common for this album, and 'To Forgive' on S2 has minimal interference also. As for all the other tracks, the sonic quality is just out of this world! You can see from my grading below just how immaculate the audio is - the clarity, depth and power is phenomenal. This is of course a very collectable album and it has a low number of 0530. There cannot be many around today that play as well as this one.
The gatefold has been so well preserved and has retained its original shape and structure perfectly. The number 0530 can be seen in the lower right corner. The 12 page booklet is also in superb condition with hardly any wear and the generic inner sleeves are very clean indeed. This is a STUNNING example of this rare and collectable album.

Visual description
All three vinyls are in superb condition and especially disc 2 and 3. S1 does have some 'sweep' hairlines but you can only see them when you hold the vinyl at a certain angle under a bright light. Under 'normal' lighting it looks superb! It still has a strong glossy look and the other sides still certainly have a stunning glossy sheen with only a small number of ultra faint hairlines. No obvious marks or scratches. The run out grooves are pristine and the labels are near perfect with no marking - only S2 has a minimal amount of spindle wear.
Play Grading
The instrumental 'Mellon Collie...' plays with only light static here and there and a little crackle. Many sections plays with great clarity and hardly any intrusion. Overall VG+ is a fair grade.
The intro on 'Tonight, Tonight' plays with stunning precision and Corgan's opening vocal is close to that with only a couple of ticks. As the volume increases the playback is superb and it continues in the same way. Deafening power and depth! The quiet end section has no background at all. Near Mint
'Thirty-Three' plays with sublime clarity from start to finish with no intrusion not even on that long final note. Mint
Again the long first note on 'In The Arms Of Sleep' has not even a single dust tick and this standard is kept up as it progresses. 100% clarity with a depth and warmth to match. Mint
'Take Me Down' plays beautifully for such a quiet track. There is no background and grades as Mint

A slight shift in tone (!) with 'Jellybelly' and 'Bodies' on S2 and they both play with immense power and definition. On vinyl the sound is so much better, that goes without saying. The audio is so rich and deep and again there is no interference. Mint
The quiet intro on 'To Forgive' is perfect and the opening vocal has just one super quiet tick at the beginning. The first chorus has a handful of static tick / click sounds but they are not loud. The remainder is very clean with only a couple of light ticks. Ex- overall.
'Here Is No Why' is Mint as simple as that. Real power and depth and... no interference.
The quiet build up intro on the classic 'Porcelina Of the Vast Oceans' plays with STUNNING clarity and as the volume increases the playback is flawless. From then on the audio is so clean and precise and there is literally no background. The most 'complete' version you could wish to find, not bad for a near 10 minute track! Mint-

'Bullet With Butterfly Wings' plays loud and true with that typical Pumpkins dynamic sound. Superb work from Chamberlain and this classic is Mint from the first note to the last.
The entire intro on 'Thru The Eyes Of Ruby' plays with exceptional audio and this heavy prog classic continues to play with a sonic quality that is second to none. This demands to be played LOUD and the good news there is no distortion. Even the quieter sections play with impeccable clarity. What a track! It is MINT and that of course includes the quiet end / acoustic section. The definitive version.
'Muzzle' plays perfectly and 'Galapogos' plays with clinical precision through every section. That despite having a number of quiet sections. No background at all and both grade as Mint
As you would expect 'Tales Of A Scorched Earth' plays with incredible power and depth and if there was any interference I'm not sure you'd hear it anyway! Just to say though there is no interference! Mint

'1979' on S4 is 'as new' from start to finish. From the percussive intro to the percussive outro and everything in between. A classic in its own right and very much deserving of a Mint grade.
'Beautiful' plays ahem beautifully with no background aside from one static on the fade out. Mint-
'Cupid De Locke', 'By Starlight' and 'We Only Come Out At Night' complete the side with 'as new' audio once more. No guess work as I play every second of every track. Perfect clarity and depth and... Mint

The initial intro on 'Where Boys Fear To Tread' has only a couple of very quiet statics and rest is deep and strong with no background. The opening vocal is perfect and this standard is kept up to the very end. It could not play with any greater depth! Mint-
A couple more heavy numbers and 'Zero' and 'Fuck You (An Ode To No-One)' both play with stunning precision. The brief quiet vocal on the latter does not have one single dust tick let alone anything more. Mint
'Love' has just one minor tick on the intro and then plays with superb power and definition from then onwards. No interference and another Mint- track.
'X.Y.U' explodes in full fury! Corgan must have been working through some serious stuff when he wrote this! I noticed only one very quiet tick, you could easily miss it, and it grades as Mint-

S6 is made up of quiet tracks and 'Stumbleine' starts proceedings with stunning clarity throughout. 'Lily (My One And Only) is just as impressive and the raw 'Tonite reprise' again has no ticks, clicks, pops or static. Just pure clean Mint audio through all three.
'Farewell And Goodnight' plays beautifully and of course features all four of them on vocals. The final piano piece plays with sublime clarity. A Mint version
'Infinite Sadness' does seem like an added extra for the vinyl version and there's nothing wrong with that. It completes the album in fine style with no background and... you know the grade. A stunning album in so many ways.
The Gatefold, 12 Page Lyric Booklet & Inner Sleeves
The cover (numbered 0530) is in superb condition with barely any wear. The edges are unbelievably clean and the spine remains wide and strong with a couple of small rubs and one indent mark. All of the corners are in fine shape with no real wear and the opening edges are as close to perfect as could be. The front cover is stunning and has kept its original glossy look and has just one tiny crease in the lower right corner. The back cover is just as impressive really with only minimal creasing in the bottom two corners. The inside of the gatefold is immaculate with no marking. A stunning example of this rare cover.
The lyric booklet is practically 'as new' without any marking or creasing. Perhaps just a minor touch of discolouration on the right edge of the front cover and the left edge of the back cover but it really is such a minor issue. The generic poly-lined inner sleeves are in superb order with no wear.

I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping. This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage. The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered. Any over-payment will always be refunded.
The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD). An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known. Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing. All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection. They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection. I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.
The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each. There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up! Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
