Description
For sale; an original LP copy of The Smiths' album 'Meat Is Murder', released in 1985 on Rough Trade as ROUGH 81. This copy was sold via Record Fayre (Glasgow?) and cost the princely sum of £4.25. Judging by the price, I'd guess this is an original 1980s copy.... I started buying albums in 1985, and £4.25 was cheap even then! As you can see, the sleeve retains about two-thirds of its original cellophane wrapping, which has kept the sleeve in good clean condition, with only minor signs of wear. The inner lyric sleeve is in similar condition, and the vinyl, likewise, is clean, bright and undamaged. I've played both sides all the way through; all tracks play reliably, with no skipping and only minor surface noise. The last two photos show the run-out etchings: 'Illness As Art' and 'Doing The Wythenshawe Waltz'!
