Description
The Smiths, The Queen Is Dead
Original 1986 UK Rough Trade issue with plug stickered gatefold sleeve and picture inner sleeve, ROUGH 96. There are two variants of this first issue, this one has MPO in the run-outs.
A nice and clean issue. Vinyl visually glossy and clean with just a couple of very short scuff marks to side two. Minimal spindle marking to side two, hard to spot any on side one.
Plays very close to near mint with just very infrequent and very low level crackle to separator bands. There is fractional scuffing to literally no more than the last second or two of the fade out of the final track on side one. Otherwise plays superbly clean throughout.
Labels are clean.
Inner sleeve a strong EX with just a trace of disc impression creasing. No other creases, marks or splits.
External sleeve top end VG plus, not far from EX. Top right corner is slightly furled forward. Fractional ringwear scuffing to rear. Spine and edges are well preserved with just the lightest of scuffing to tips. Inneer of gatefold is clean with just very light rubbing to left hand lyric side. There is a largish circle of very slight surface layer loss from removed sticker to top left front. This nowhere as bad as it might sound and not really noticeable in normal use.
