Here we have a copy of The Smiths The Queen Is Dead. This is the first press of this album, released in the UK on Rough Trade, catalogue number ROUGH 96.
MATRIX NUMBERS:
SIDE 1: ROUGH 96 A-1U-1- FEAR OF MANCHESTER
SIDE 2: ROUGH 96 B-1U-1- THEM WAS ROTTEN DAYS
Sleeve Condition – GOOD+/VERY GOOD – The gatefold cover is in very nice condition. There is a little evidence of shelf wear on the edges and spine (though not that bad at all), and on the back a little wear is visible. This copy comes with the original insert which is in excellent condition apart from a little seam split on the bottom. There's nothing overall too bad with this cover, just enough to stop me confidently giving a full Very Good grading.
Record Condition – GOOD+ – The record looks in good condition. There are hair lines visible but these look like they should not affect play or quality, maybe at worse causing a little light crackle in a place or two. There doesn't appear to be anything scratch wise so I think this copy should play and sound very good!
