Description
You are bidding on an EXCELLENT original UK FIRST PRESS of the 1986 THE SMITHS LP The Queen is Dead on original UK first press. This is an original first press on Rough Trade Records. Catalogue No. ROUGH 96
SLEEVE - the original GATEFOLD Card picture sleeve is in Ex-/VG+ condition. It retains all of its original sheen there are no tears or seam splits. There is wear to some of the edges/corners and very light ringwear to the rear. The spine is clean and crisp and fully readable. The ORIGINAL PINK HYPE sticker is retained and is in Excellent plus condition. The record comes in the ORIGINAL Picture Inner sleeve which is EXCELLENT with no tears or seam splits.
VINYL - the disc is in Excellent minus condition, it is pressed on thick black VINYL and retains all of its sheen, under halogen lights there are a small number of light hairline marks visible but no deep scratches. The labels are clean and crisp and A1U:B1U matrix stamped and FEAR OF MANCHESTER/THEM WAS ROTTEN DAYS is etched on the run off, confirming this as an original FIRST PRESS. Overall this is a Super example of an original FIRST PRESS of this 40 year old LP.
