ALBUM DESCRIPTION & HISTORY:  Here's a beautiful, minty copy of their classic debut Lp Album released in 1968 during the The Soft Machines American Tour.  This is a fantastic psychedelic era progressive rock record album featuring gorgeous album cover art with a minty revolving graphic.  Based in Canterbury England.     A remarkable recording and delight with impeccable surfaces. Complete, well recorded... totally enjoyable.   Original Sleeve, with new separate sleeve provided as noted above.

Acquired new in 1968 and stored in the same record library to date. Highly recommended with excellent playback throughout.   Opening bid is $9.95 , No Reserve 5 Day Auction.

We play graded this Lp on our audiophile grade turntable and playback system, very nice!   Excellent cosmetic condition on the Album Cover with bright, saturated inks.  Beautiful cosmetics on the cover with no tears, or split seams.  No mildew. Note NOT FOR SALE sticker lower right.  Excellent vinyl with quiet surfaces throughout and as mentioned an audiophile treat, fabulous stereo sound... definitely a "record to die for." Light surface scratch (barely visible) towards the end on side 2 does not sound. This used record shows limited careful use.  Sounds great from beginning to end... this original vinyl Lp is hard to find in this unspoiled condition.   We used a Shibata stylus (with excellent low noise results) to evaluate this Lp which uses a parabola instead of a cone shape to achieve a contact area four times greater than that of a spherical stylus.

This 33.3 RPM record has been well taken care of (properly stored) since new and has been kept upright in a dry, temperture regulated Lp record library.  It should, upon your playback, achieve quiet surfaces and terrific vintage sound!  We are audiophiles and are completely familiar with the lore of records and the technical requirements for superior playback.  Here is a rare opportunity to purchase this hard to find Lp on this No Reserve auction.
