ITEM:      THE ORIGINAL 1968 USA PRESSING, WITH WORKING SPIN WHEEL.  This is NOT the 180 Gram re-issue that many vendors are currently selling as "New".  This is an original pressing of  " The Soft Machine  ",  by The Soft Machine.  Released on the Probe label, catalog number CPLP-4500.

COMMENTS/CONDITION:    This LP came from a private collection and is in excellent playing condition. The record is visually graded, and was test played on my system. Grading is according to Goldmine Standards. If you are not familiar with that system, please go to the Goldmine web site and read the grading details BEFORE YOU BID.

Vinyl is in VG+ or better condition with a nice glossy luster.  There are no warps, deep scratches, cracks, chips, or groove wear. On close inspection under a bright light source, a few very light scuff marks and hairlines can be detected, which are cosmetic only, and do not affect the playback or enjoyment of the recordings. On my system, both sides played through quietly, with no skips, groove lock, or other issues.  NOTE: Sound quality will vary from system to system. The above comments are included strictly as reference, and are not a statement as to the experience you will have with your equipment.

Both labels are in excellent condition with no spindle tracks, peeling edges, writing, or stains.   The center hole is perfectly round and shows no signs of repeated playing.

Cover is in VG+ condition with working spin wheel. There are no bent over corners, stickers, labels, price tags, or writing. There is a tiny punch hole in the upper right corner, a small 1.5 inch center split in the bottom seam, and light edge wear. The spine is in very good condition and is easily readable.There is partial ring wear and previous owner's initials on the back cover.

Inner sleeve is generic white paper.

I have listed this with NO RESERVE. Do not sleep on this one. Original pressings in this condition are becoming difficult to find.
