THE SOUND From The Lions Mouth NM UK 1st Press 1981 LP  Original UK pressing on Korova Records from 1981.
The gatefold sleeve and the record are in NEAR MINT condition.
The remarkable (1872)  painting by Briton Riviere, titled 'Daniel In The Lions Den' is stunning in the open gatefold position.

[isdntekvideo] UK band The Sound released 'From The Lions Mouth' (KODE 5 Korova Records) in November of 1981 to mostly positive reviews.  It was their second album and just about everyone agreed it was a definite step up from 'Jeopardy', their previous Lp. The music is dark, soothing, original, and mysterious. Labeled as "Gothic/Post-punk/New Wave",  producer Hugh Jones smoothed out some of the rough edges and refined their sound to help the group break through the charts.  Unfortunately, it was not meant to be.  But in the 3 decades since its original release, the album has grown enormously in cult status and has taken its rightful place near the top of Post-punk music history.
