This auction is for a copy of "THE SOUNDS OF SINATRA" -- from the weekend of AUGUST 1 & 2, 1992.
This Orange Productions program was syndicated on two vinyl albums that came in plastic sleeves. The two albums come housed in the original cardboard mailer, which also contains the cardboard insert/spacer and two pages of original cue sheets. See cue sheets for song content (pics #7 & #9).
Both albums are in excellent condition. I skipped around each side, and everything sounds fine (I did not play-test each side all the way though...if I saw a scratch or defect, I would always play-test that section to make sure it sounded okay). This show was probably played once or twice and then stored away for decades. Please remember that these were pressed on cheap vinyl, as they were made to be thrown away after being played (and not saved).
The staple on the cue sheets has not rusted, and the sheets are not written on. The mailer has some aging to the outside, but it is intact (pic #10). The date is written in ink on the upper flap of the mailer. The album labels look great.
I am not sure how many years this program was pressed on vinyl, but it certainly isn't anymore!
From what I understand, Sid Mark still hosts this show (now syndicated through Westwood One), and also hosts the long running "Sunday With Sinatra" on Sunday mornings on WPHT in Philadelphia.
PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BIDDING!!! Because this program comes in its original mailer, it will be wrapped in brown shipping paper with your address label on the paper. To me, this makes more sense than putting your address label on the mailer itself. If this is a problem, please don't disappoint yourself...don't bid! If you want, I can turn the mailer inside out and put your address label on the mailer, but I am afraid the perforations may break...
