On offer here is a VERY rare single (especially in this condition!!!!) called "Hurdy Gurdy Man" by The Spectres and is a German 1st pressing from 1966!!!! The B side is called 'Laticia'.  THIS IS AN INCREDIBLY RARE SINGLE!!!!  THE SPECTRES WERE OF COURSE STATUS QUO BEFORE THEY CHANGED THEIR NAME!!!!  YOU JUST NEVER SEE A COPY OF THIS SINGLE EVER!!!!  IT ALSO HAS ITS ORIGINAL TOP OPENING PICTURE SLEEVE!!!!  THIS HAS TO BE ONE OF THE RAREST SINGLES YOU WILL EVER SEE - SO DONT MISS OUT!!!! This is an ORIGINAL German Pye 1st Pressing on the Pink Pye label and the Cat No is HT 300048 and is a MONO pressing. Any fan of The Spectres, Status Quo, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!

The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and NO spindle marks!!!! The record of course has a LARGE centre hole (normal on German pressings) - as this is of course how the record was originally pressed!!!! The record is in STUNNING condition!!!! Most of these 60s singles had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, 1 NON sounding LIGHT hairline, 1 non sounding LIGHT scuffline, and only some VERY light general scuffing only visible under light!!!! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ALL OF ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is great to find that the playing of the record is BETTER than the visual!!!! It PLAYS STUNNINGLY with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, and NO crackle!!!! There is NO groovewear either and NO distortion. The single must grade visually Very Good+ with the playing grade more like Excellent(Minus) if not FULL Excellent!!!! IT PLAYS STUNNINGLY!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The MEGA RARE Top Opening cover is in STUNNING condition for its age!!!! This is a VERY weak cover indeed - and this one has survived remarkably!!!! It does have some light edge wear (NO splits), slight corner wear (NO splits), some typical light creases, and NO writing!!!! The opening edges are little feathered - but as you can see in the pictures below - this MEGA RARE cover is totally intact and looks VERY presentable!!!! Even the back of the cover is in STUNNING condition with NO writing, NO grubbyness, and only some typical slight yellowing!!!! This is a STUNNING cover for its age (most are found in pieces - or not at all) and must grade Very Good(Minus) if not better!!!!
